“Single” IPAs are your every day average IPA (but please don’t call them Single IPAs). Imperial/Double IPAs are more of everything. So then what the heck is a Triple IPA?!

Before we dive into the TIPA definition, Old Rapp has cans of Dime Bag Triple IPA from Sycamore Brewing available now! Dime Bag is a fat sack of fruity dank hops and hints of blueberry and a blaze of fresh citrus. Try one today! We’ve got a limited supply!

Triple IPAs can pack a wallop to the palette just like their younger sibling the Double IPA but there are few main differences that stand out in most TIPAs. They have what can only be described as an outrageous amount of everything: hop characteristics, bitterness, malt flavor and ABVs typically above 9.5%. In addition to all of the above the often have a thick, syrupy mouthfeel with hop resin characteristics. This makes them heavy and slow sippers.
