One of the many dark lager styles is the Baltic Porter. But you may wonder, aren’t Porters classified as ales? Yes but not the Baltic Porter.

Originating in countries around the Baltic Sea this style of beer is very dark and has an ABV in the range of, 7-9.5%. The lager yeast used in fermentation gives a cleaner taste and attributes to a lighter mouthfeel, less common among darker beers.
